What is the equivalent of ground cardamom for 5 crushed cardamom pods?
I have a recipe that calls for 5 curshed cardamom pods, but was only able to find ground cardamom. I don’t know what the equivalent is in terms of tsps.

There are 2 types the green and the large black or aromatic cardamon, and the green is shelled and the little black seed inside ground for ground cardamon, I would use 1/2 teaspoon as like cinnamon and nutmeg to much can be overpowering it has a smokey citrus flavour
For recipes requiring whole cardamom pods, a generally accepted equivalent is 10 pods equals 1½ teaspoons of ground cardamom. 5 pods would be 3/4 teaspoon.
