What is your best recipe for garlic bread?



I’m making a pasta with creamy herb sauce, asparagus, and garlic bread. What is the best recipe you have for garlic bread?

Put slices of bread of your choice on a baking pan, baste with margarine, sprinkle with garlic seasoning then put in oven to toast.

Personally for me making the bread would be a chore. So get out and buy some french barguette, slice them into your desired thickness. Get some softened salted butter, finely chopped garlic and chopped parsley, put these three ingredients into a small bowl and microwave them for like 20 seconds until melted. Spread them over the sliced barguette and place them onto a un-oiled heated pan, make sure both sides are browned well and you’ve got some nice garlic bread.

1 Italian loaf cut length wise through the middle. (top half and bottom half)
1/2 lb soft unsalted (use salted for intense flavor) butter.
6 med sized cloves garlic crushed.
1 tbsp dried parsley.

In a small bowl, mix the garlic and parsley well into the soft butter with a fork. Cover and let rest on the counter for at least 1 hr.

Spread the garlic butter on both halves of the bread and place back together.

Now cut the bread with a bread knife into pie shaped wedges.

Taking each “pie wedge” open it up and place butter side down and cook on a skillet or frying pan until golden brown.

What you’ll need:
Slices of sourdough
olive oil
garlic salt
parsley
baking sheet

Put bread on baking sheet, ungreased

Brush olive oil onto bread with pastry brush or if you dont have one then pour it on and spread it with something else.

Sprinkle parsley, then garlic salt, so it sticks to the olive oil.

Put it in the oven on 350 degrees for about ten minutes, if you like it kind of crunchy.

1 loaf French or Italian bread
butter, softened
garlic powder
dried parsley

PREPARATION:
Using a serrated knife, cut bread in half lengthwise. Spread halves with soft butter and sprinkle lightly with garlic powder and parsley. Cut bread, without cutting all the way through, into 1-inch strips.

Put the loaf halves back together. Wrap in heavy foil and refrigerate until about 30 minutes before serving time. Open the foil and separate halves. Heat on foil in a 425° oven for 10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Separate pieces for serving.

* 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
* 1 tablespoon garlic powder
* 1 (1 pound) loaf Italian bread

INGREDIENTS

* 1/4 cup butter, softened
* 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
* 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic paste
* 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh basil
* 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
* 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
* 6 hoagie rolls, split lengthwise
* 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese for topping

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat the oven broiler. Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil.
2. In a small bowl, make a paste with the butter, mayonnaise, garlic paste, basil, 2 tablespoons Parmesan, and pepper.
3. Spread equal amounts of the paste on each roll half. Arrange roll halves on the cookie sheet, topping side up, and sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese.
4. Broil on the top rack in the preheated oven 1 to 2 minutes, or until lightly toasted. Watch them very carefully! They can burn very quickly. Basically do these at the last minute before serving and check them closely as they broil.

Simple Garlic Bread

>Mix butter, garlic and italian herbs in a small bowl
>Cut loaf of bread through the middle to form 2 pieces
>Spead garlic butter mixture evenly onto bread
>Place in grill until golden brown

Cheesy Garlic Bread

Ingredients :
1 medium loaf French bread, unsliced
1/2 cup butter/margarine softened
2 cloves garlic, halved
1 tsp. diced parsley
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions :
1) Preheat oven to 375. Cut slices down the length of the bread loaf at 1-inch intervals, without cutting all the way through.

2) Rub slices and top of load with cut sides of garlic halves. Mince garlic.

3) Combine butter, garlic, parsley and Parmesan in a small bowl. Spread butter mixture between bread slices and on top of loaf.

4) Wrap bread in foil, , leaving top partially uncovered. Bake until heated through, about 15 minutes

I buy either a french or italian loaf. Slice it down the middle.
Mix a cube of softened butter with about a tablespoon of garlic powder (to taste) about 1/3 cup of parm cheese, some oregano and basil. Mix this well and spread on bread. Put loaf back together and wrap with foil. Bake in 400 oven until butter is melted.
