What kind of snake is this that I found?
It is light brown with dark brown clove shape on it’s side, My brother found it in our barn.I want to know what kind it is?
I live is Northeast Texas and It’s about 10 inches long it still a baby snake it is light brown with dark brown clove shape spots on it’s side,What kind is it?

if you mention what state you live in it would help in determining what species it is
what you can do is go to google images and type in brown snakes in _________ (state you live in) and you will probably have more luck doing it that way
Ok, Turner…we would need much much more of a description then that.
I think I could maybe name/research hundreds of snake to that description.
Please be in detail of what it looks like if you want to know what it is. We can’t tell you if the description fit over a 100 type of snake. Maybe a picture would help a lot too. And also what state you live in would help a lot too.
You really need to give more details if you want a good answer. Approx length and widest diameter, shape of head, etc.
Need a picture to tell.
Some guesses: corn snake, bull/gopher snake, garter snake, Texas brown snake, kingsnake, a juvenile black racer, rat snake. Really, theres A LOT of possibilities for a brown snake withe a darker pattern.
