What other resources did Malacca have other than spices?
During trade, i think around 1500, Portugal tried to invade Malacca for their spices. Was there any other resources Portugal wanted from Malacca?

Hmmm…
they only interested in spices.
but by taking control malacca strait, they control the main route for trading to Indonesia.
