You will be stuck with it forever. Don't get me wrong, I love tattoos, but only if you are positive you want one, and you know exactly which design you want. If you just want some excitement, get a piercing. It is cheaper, smaller, and removable. If you get it as a spur-of-the-moment thing and you love it, great. If not, you can simply take it out and let it heal up. No matter what you do, make sure you research the place you are getting this done at.
