What would be a reasonable substitute for dijon mustard?
I have a chicken salad recipe that calls for dijon mustard. I have stone ground mustard, spicy brown mustard, and regular yellow mustard. Which of these would be best in place of dijon mustard, or should I just leave out the mustard all together?

use the stone ground mustard. obviously they are different but will still taste good.
Stone ground is best; then spicy brown. Regular yellow isn’t anything like it…. It’s good that you have several kinds though. Try Creole and Honey Mustard sometime too:)
Stone ground would be my first choice, but if you’d rather not have the graininess of the seeds, spicy brown should work fine too.
don’t leave out the mustard- go with the stone ground.
