or
things like that

um, a formal restaurant will never serve fish and chips. you’re just going to like ihop and dennys kind of restaurants or something. and your ideal menu sounds just like an above average southwestern steakhouse to me.
I am afraid none of your suggestions would be well received in UK & Ireland and it is on those pages where your question has been posted
Dont go to Applebee’s and Chili’s anymore.
Try somewhere new…how about an upscale casual restaurant? Ever try Bonefish? They have very different items.
Also why fix whats not broken obviously people order these dishes and like them or they wouldn’t be so popular.
Another reason, from a person in the business, ticket time is important, you want your food to be at your table in less than 20 minutes after you order it, right? Now how long would it take to have something crazy cooked to order for you? Plus the prep time before opening the restaurant would be even more.
Not all of them have what you listed.. Go to somewhere more unique if you want what you listed. You should try Peg Leg Pete’s. I love it there!
Because people are unadventurous and like to eat the same kind of foods every time they eat out. Restaurants want to make money so they will serve the kind of food that people want to eat. If you are getting fed up with the same kind of stuff all the time why not try some restaurants that serve foods from other countries. Forget the boring chain places and look for the little hole in the wall mom and pop restaurants.
