why is there no basil in philadelphia’s “sun-dried tomato and basil” cream cheese spread?
The ingredients do not list basil (although they do list sun-dried tomatos and parsley). However, their is a basil flavor present and I am confused as to how this is possible.

they use a small insect called a eupho-lobotomy
its very tasty
only it doesn’t really taste like basil at all
so you were somehow strangly decieved
and im not being flippant about your very important question
It’s possible that there is basil present, but it’s such a negligible amount (or an amount protected for proprietary concerns).
Is the all-encompassing “spices” listed in the ingredients?
For example, Hunt’s Tomato Paste with Basil, Garlic, & Oregano has the following:
“Tomato paste, salt, spices, garlic powder, natural flavors, citric acid.”
There could theoretically be hundreds of different herbs and flavors included in “spices.”
Just a thought.
