Will bear mace (pepper spray) kill a person if directed at a person?
I am considering getting bear mace for self defense over regular mace. I do not want to get it if it can very seriously injure a person. However I want something strong enough to stop an attacker. What do ya’ll think?

Same as any other OC /Mace type defense weapons. Won’t kill….unless the guy is predisposed to a lethal reaction from it.
Not a chance.
The only thing that OC (Oleoresin Capsicom, which is what the police use) will do is make them WISH they were dead.
Get the strongest stuff you can buy. After all you will be using it for self defense, what do you care if it jacks someone up
I’ve never heard of it killing anyone but most serious damage it could do is cause temporarily blindness in sprayed in the eye. It’s nice of you to consider other’s well being but if someone is attacking or threating you, you shouldn’t worry about their well being. Anything done will be in self-defense and you can not be held accountable.
I seriosly doubt it would but if it would you wouldnt get in any legal trouble because they posed a threat to you
No it will not kill. In a very rare circumstance I suppose it could cause a fatal reaction but I have never heard of it. I would be willing to lay odds that many police officers who carry OC can take a shot and continue to fight quite effectively. Every time I attempted to use OC it seems that I got it worse than the subject I wished to subdue. I personally would not carry any other chemical agent than OC and I agree with a previous poster in getting the hottest spray possible.
