Will peppermint oil harm my granite countertops?
We just bought a home in Texas and I keep seeing little ants.
They aren’t the really big bad kind, they’re just the standard little black ants. I was going to get some peppermint oil (the essential oil from a health food store, NOT the “peppermint flavoring” in the grocery store). My plan was to mix it with water and spray it around the kitchen. So my question is, if it gets on my countertop, will it damage/discolor my granite countertop in any way? Thanks!

Nope, it won’t harm the counter-top. It will do something to the paint on the wall though. I would suggest that you put a drop or two of pure Peppermint (undiluted) at the entry point the ants are using rather than spray the entire surface.
